About Nick

I know what it’s like to be with a group of people talking in another language and not be able to take part in the conversation.

There were so many times when I listened to people chatting happily in Italian without following what they were saying. There were other times when I felt like I understood, but by the time I’d found the words to say what I wanted, the conversation had moved on.

Over time, I’ve found strategies that have helped me to take part in Italian conversations more confidently. You can do the same with your English! I can support you to fully expressive yourself in conversations so that you can make the most of your English opportunities.

In 2010 I decided to change my career to become an English teacher. Since then I’ve enjoyed helping hundreds of people to speak English more confidently and to use a wider range of English in their daily lives. More recently I’ve completed my Diploma in Education and Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages to continue to challenge myself and to develop as a teacher so that I can make a real difference to the lives of English language learners.

I have helped learners to improve their English in a number of schools in the UK and Italy as well as teaching learners privately. Throughout this time I have worked with learners to help them to communicate effectively in English to improve their lives and enable them to take advantage of social and professional opportunities in the English speaking world.
